This course teaches care of older patients with emphasis on the social, emotional and spiritual needs.  Covers procedures; communication and interpersonal relations; observation, charting and reporting; safety and infection control; anatomy and physiology; personal care, nutrition and patient feeding; death and dying.   This course enables the student to become eligible to take the national certification exam for certified nurse aide.  This course also includes supervised practice in a setting appropriate for Nurse Aide functioning. Hands on skills training in clinical setting.
