The Power Industry Fundamentals curriculum consists of NCCER’s basic construction skills course, Core: Introductory Craft Skills and newly developed introductory modules on the power industry. It sets the stage for students entering into the electrical energy production field. It describes the many ways in which electricity can be produced, the economics involved in energy production and the environmental impacts of distributing electrical power. The class also includes VDOT Traffic Control, OSHA 10, CPR/First Aid, Job Search Strategies and Math Prep for CAST testing.
