Workforce Credential Grant (WCG) This course introduces basic medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, components of health care delivery and clinical laboratory structure. It is designed to teach techniques of specimen collection, specimen handling, and patient interactions necessary in the profession of Phlebotomy. Proper methods for the collection, processing and distribution of laboratory specimens according to established procedures will be covered by the course with the emphasis on the phlebotomy techniques as well as universal precautions, legal  and ethical behaviors and applicable quality control procedures.
